A Follow-Up On Whitening With Activated Charcoal (Method Alternative)

I've had some friends telling me about their experiences since I posted about teeth whitening with activated charcoal. Everyone has been excited about how well it has worked for them. Yay! I also have heard of some sensitivity, which can happen, so don't use it too often if you experience this.

One thing that has been the top complaint:

It is.

And the DROOL!

I know. I'm sorry.

So, here is an option for those that just CAN NOT handle my previous method.

I made a pasted with my homemade toothpaste and two capsules of activated charcoal. I don't need to use it often, so I only put about two tablespoons of toothpaste in the cup. I suggest using glass with a lid to store.

You can use any natural, fluoride free toothpaste. OR make your own paste of coconut oil and baking soda (just enough to thicken it up a bit). Brush with this once a day, every few days. No need to hit a time limit while brushing either. Just brush with this in place of regular brushing/paste routine.  If you feel the need to follow up with a regular brushing after, feel free.

This really helps lessen the mess factor! It still got a little black in my sink when I spit, but I just used my hand to wash it away. Easy, peasy.

Thanks to everyone who shares testimonies and questions! I love hearing what people think.
