The Most Amazing Homemade Granola Recipe Ever

I love granola! I can sit and eat it plain, in yogurt or as my morning cereal. It's also great as a blueberry crumble topping or on ice cream. So many uses!

It's also a better alternative to store bought cereal. I am often frustrated by even the USDA organic cereals I find that contain "natural flavors" and sugars.

This granola is filling AND insanely delicious! I've never found a store bought or homemade recipe that is better than this granola.

It isn't cheap to get all the materials, but it makes a TON. To save money, I got many of my ingredients from the organic section at HEB where you can pour/measure your own dry items.

Homemade Granola Recipe


3 cups large rolled oats
1 cup wheat bran
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup oat bran
1 cup unsweetened coconut
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup almonds sliced
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1/2 cup sunflower oil
1/4 cup water
1 cup 100% PURE HIGH QUALITY maple syrup
2 teaspoons pure vanilla
1 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup dried apricots diced

Preheat 250. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

In large bowl combine first 11 ingredients. Mix. In separate bowl combine water, oil, syrup and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients and mix well.

Divide between the two sheets and pack down over entire sheet. Bake 1.5 hours, stirring every 15 mins. It should end up being golden and crunchy. Add fruit when cool.

Store in a airtight container. Enjoy!
