Homemade Sports Drink

Stomach bugs are going around right now (I know, because my daughter and I both had it..ugh).

Also, summer time is here. It's stinking hot already and only going to get worse.

In these times, it's necessary to drink a lot of water. Water can get old, so many people turn to sports drinks like Gatorade and Powerade to hydrate their body.

All it took was a quick look at the list of ingredients for me to realize that it is not the best for my body when I am really needing it to replenish and heal my body when it's been overworked. I have no need for monopotassium phosphate or "natural flavors" (check out what Food Babe has to say about this ingrediant). Not to mention, they all have artificial dyes (chemicals linked to health problems...for more information on dyes, check out this site).

How about instead of relying on these nasty sports drinks, you make your own?? It's easy and SO good for you! You can follow the recipe or add what you want to meet your taste. I've seen this recipe floating around and I have no clue who is the original creator, so I can't take or give credit. But to the maker of this recipe, THANK YOU!
